Background and Approach

Kavita is a Psychotherapist and Art Therapist. She has completed a PACFA-accredited Master of Counseling and Psychotherapy at Metavision Insitute, and a Graduate Diploma of Art Therapy at the MIECAT Institute. Prior, she completed a Bachelor of Psychology.

Kavita’s approach is person-centred; working with the client to determine the best course of action tailored to their individual needs. Kavita values a holistic approach in bringing that which is less conscious into awareness. This often incorporates elements of art therapy, mindfulness, somatic awareness and parts work.

Appointments and Fees

Adhering to appointment times and payment processes is essential for the client’s commitment to their well-being and in consideration of Kavita's time.

Appointment Policy: In case of cancellation or postponement, please provide as much notice as possible. If this is requested within 48 hours of the appointment (not including weekends and public holidays) it will incur a $50 cancellation fee. In case of cancellation within 24 hours, the full fee is due.

Payments: For 1:1 sessions, fees are due on the day of the session via bank transfer. It is recommended to transfer prior to the session time. Fees can also be paid in cash for in-person sessions. If you would like to receive an invoice, please notify Kavita and this can be sent prior to the session.

Kavita reserves the right to review her fees at the end of the financial year. If changes are made, clients will be notified ahead of any scheduled appointments.

Relationship and Concerns

Professional Relationship: Although our sessions may be very intimate emotionally and psychologically, it is important to acknowledge that we have a professional relationship. In the case that a social context arises, we will discuss a comfortable way forward.

Concerns: If at any time and for any reason you are dissatisfied with the services then please contact Kavita. If a satisfactory resolution isn’t possible other alternatives will be provided.

Online Counselling Interventions: Whilst there are many benefits to the therapeutic use of technology, there are also some limitations. Please make sure you understand the "Telehealth" risks involved. Users must be aware that there are risks in transmitting information over the internet.
